The TracksCreationS story began with a very simple wish: to make my son happy. He had a GraviTrax marble run and some Duplo bricks, and I wanted to build him a tower combining the two — except that no shop-bought piece could connect the two worlds.
A first attempt thanks to my neighbour
My neighbour had a 3D printer. Together we tested, adjusted and started again, until we finally produced a Duplo-GraviTrax adapter that stood up. That little experiment, meant for an afternoon of play with my son, was the starting point of all of TracksCreationS.
Then I printed designs by other enthusiasts
The adapter worked, so I kept the printer. At first I simply made pieces designed by other marble-run enthusiasts and shared as open source by the maker community.
Then I started inventing
Little by little, rather than just reproducing them, I started modifying these pieces to improve them: sturdier, faster, easier to combine with what we already had at home.
Then new ideas were born
The mega spinning tops, big wheels and marble lifts from TracksCreationS are not copies: they are original ideas, born from our games with the children, to add movement and surprise to GraviTrax marble runs.
Back to Duplo, for my daughter
Then back to Duplo, this time for my daughter: the same ideas, adapted to her own world of tracks and trains. Since then I have alternated between the two worlds, GraviTrax and Duplo, always for the same pleasure: playing and sharing with my children.
TracksCreationS today
I still design my pieces myself, with FreeCAD (open-source software), then print them in bio-based PLA, less than 40 km from Grenoble. Every new piece is tested by my children before it goes on sale — still the best quality guarantee I know.
